The model DOH-900 meter is a rugged, waterproof handheld digital instrument designed for the monitoring of dissolved oxygen. The unit will display dissolved oxygen content over a range of 0.00 to 99.9 ppm with a 0.1 resolution. A second display mode will display dissolved oxygen content in 0.01 ppm resolution over a range of 0.00 to 9.99 ppm. A third mode enables the user to display dissolved oxygen in terms of percent saturation (% sat). Temperature is displayed in 1°C increments over a 0 to 50°C range. The microprocessor based electronics allows for quick programming of site conditions (salinity and altitude). The effects of temperature is automatically compensated in the meter's temperature compensation circuit. The compensation is made for diffusion rate and solubility. The DOH-900 is powered by a single replaceable 9 V alkaline battery which provides 150 hours of operation. An automatic shutdown feature will preserve battery life by turning the instrument off after approximately 15 minutes of keypad inactivity. A low battery indicator is provided on the LCD display in order to inform the operator when it is time to replace the battery. The oxygen sensor supplied with the unit is a galvanic type oxygen cell which senses the rate of oxygen diffusion through a semi-permeable membrane. Standard features include a 0 to 1 Vdc scalable output for connection to chart recorders and data acqusition instrumentation. Also provided is a digital RS232 serial output for connection to a personal computer. The DOH-900 is supplied complete with meter, sensor with 10' of cable, 16 oz filling solution, 12, 2 mil Teflon membranes, wrist/belt strap, screw on sensor guard, soaking cap and operator's manual.
